What is Rotary?
Rotary is the world's first service organization. It was founded in Chicago on February 23rd, 1905 by Paul Harris, an attorney wishing to capture in a professional
club the friendly spirit of small towns. Today there are 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide and over 32,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas.
Rotary International works with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations to improve the human condition.

successful that the disease will soon be eradicated worldwide. Similar collaborations have help Rotary promote goodwill, service, world understanding and peace.
The Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program was established to provide professionals from around the world the opportunity to be trained in conflict resolution and mediation strategies.
With the aid of Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships nearly 38,000 men and women from 100 nations have studied abroad, taking advantage of both educational and cultural opportunities.
This is the world's largest privately funded international scholarship program. It is larger than Fulbright and Rhodes Scholarships combined.
The Rotary Grant for University Teachers promotes international understanding and fosters development while strengthening higher education in low-income countries.
